The Lee Valley enterprise Board was formed in 1990 to promote Macroom and its
hinterland as an attractive place in which to live and work. It has 5 different
sections within its remit—Industry, Agriculture, Culture & Tourism,
Environment and Business/Commerce. The Board has over 60 members who pay
membership each year to subsidize the promotion of the Lee Valley.
The Lee Valley Enterprise Board has inspired and supports many successful projects such as the Briery Gap Cultural Centre, Bealick Mill and the Macroom-e Business Park. Ongoing projects such as the St.Patrick’s Day Parade which attracts some 10,000 people on March 17th, Flower Baskets to enhance Macroom during the summer season, The Tourist Office, Christmas Promotions, Macroom Food Festival and of course the fortnightly Lee Valley Outlook Magazine are just some of
the projects with which the Board is involved.
